The Airport is the busiest one in Egypt and the second one in Africa after OR Tambo International Airport. It has three runways. 

 

Cairo Airport handled 17,5 million passengers in 2018, being the busiest airport both in Cairo and in the whole country.

Terminals + info

Cairo International Airport (CAI) consists of four passenger terminals:

-Terminal 1: For airlines that do not belong to Star Alliance. 

-Terminal 2: Directly connected to Terminal 3.

-Terminal 3: International and Domestic services. EgyptAir hub. 

-Seasonal Terminal: Only operative on Hajj season. 


Transfer between terminals

All Terminals, excepting the Seasonal Terminal, are connected through a metro people mover.

About Cairo
